Ordering Invitations
Online
Please order your invitations at least 6-8 weeks in advance. As my stationery is handmade its time-consuming so its good to have some breathing space!!! As soon as I receive you order I will contact you to discuss all the details and any changes you require i.e colour scheme etc. Payment is safe and secure via paypal. If there is something you can not find online please call 01245 251883 and I will be able to help you.
In person
If you are local to the area and wish to come and see me to discuss your stationery I am more than happy to meet with you and show you samples of my work. Please telephone 01245 251883 to arrange an appointment. I generally do appointments from Mon-Fri in the evenings as it gives everyone time to get back from work!
By Telephone
When you have chosen your style of invitation please call 01245 251883 with the name of the design and the amount you require. Please let me know what colour schemes you wish to have your stationery made in. Once I have received all this information I will send you an invoice for payment.
By Post/Email
When you have chosen your style of invitation please pop the details either in a letter or email to me. I will need details of the design and the amount you require. Please let me know what colour schemes you wish to have your stationery made in. Once the order is received I will contact you to discuss all the finer details.
If you have a swatch you wish to send me I will match card stock/ribbon etc as best I can.
A Design Sample will be sent to you via email for your approval to go ahead and a price quoted.
What happens next?
If you decide to go ahead I will send you an order form to complete and return to me with a cheque payable to J. Hughes for a deposit payment of 25% of the total value (this is non-refundable). Please note that if you require invitations on a quick turnaround the full amount will be payable up front. I will also require a list of your guests names at this point for the invites . Please send this as a word doc and check the wording and spelling is correct. Any spelling corrections required after processing has begun will incur a small fee.
I will mail you a proof of the wording for your invite which you must approve before printing will commence. Once the proofs have been agreed, the final balance is payable. You will receive your invites 14 - 21 days after this date.
Tableplans, Nameplaces and Table Name/Numbers
Please order 6-8 weeks before your wedding day. Once I have received your order I will liaise with you closely to get your colour schemes right (if you have a sample of your colour scheme that you could send me it would be extremely helpful). I will also need a list of your guests names, and a plan of your tables and who is sitting where. If you require Table name or Number Cards please also forward me these details. Please email them to me making sure they are spelt correctly and printed (not handwritten!). You will receive your order within 21 days after order is approved.
Menus/Order of Service
Please order 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding day. These will be made to match your chosen design/scheme. I will require wording for both Menus and Order of service to be sent via email in Word doc format please. It is your responsibility to check all the wording is correctly spelt. A proof will be emailed to you where you can check for any mistakes. once approved they will be sent to print. You will receive your order within 14-21 days after order is approved.
Delivery
Orders will be dispatched using guarenteed delivery service which will require a signature on receipt. Larger orders (particularly the tableplans) will sent by courier service (normally on 48hr delivery with Parcel Force) and will again require a signature upon reciept. If you live locally you are more than welcome to save on the postage and come and collect from me! For orders overseas I will calculate shipping costs and can invoice you either by post or via paypal.
Please bear in mind that I do get booked up quickly so to avoid disappointment order early!
